Plumbing, wiring & insulating over-garage area… rough ballpark est.?
Unfinished space over 3-car garage. Garage is detached, about 20-25 yards away from house. House water is from artesian well, so not sure how plumbing could be put in the garage (routed from house, independent connection to well? no idea). Plumbing for kitchenette & bathroom. Garage has power; top needs wiring. Space also needs (good!) insulation & basic drywall… just rough, open loft-type space.
In rural central Maine; project would likely begin next spring. Plumbing & wiring will of course need experts. Other work can be done by me with help from Dad (I still have to buy materials, of course).
Interested in a very rough ballpark of what how much this could cost, to see if it's something I could afford to look into. Can always fancy it up a bit down the road, but to start, just need a habitable space & am very ok with rough edges.
Ready to go home after a long time being far away, & trying to explore viable options for a small, simple space of my own. Thanks to all who can help give me a reality check on cost!
